Deer Creek’s Grady Adamson – Presented by Deer Creek Booster Club

From Connecticut to California and finally to Oklahoma, Grady Adamson’s journey to football success has been nothing short of dynamic. Growing up with a football coach father, Grady, who plays for Deer Creek High School, has had a front-row seat to the sport from a young age. “I’ve always grew up around football, my dad was a long-time coach and gave me many opportunities to learn and be around the game from a young age.”

Grady’s passion for football was kindled by the dedication he witnessed around him. “I was inspired by the players and coaches I was around daily and seeing the joy as well as the grind they put in,” he said. His parents have been his biggest influences, guiding him and showing him “the correct ways to accomplish things” to get where he is today.

Team chemistry at Deer Creek High School is a source of pride for Grady. “In football, we are all grinding and putting in the work together; that builds that strong bond,” he explained. This camaraderie extends beyond the field, as many of the players are friends off the field as well.

As the team’s quarterback, Grady embraces his leadership role. “Being the quarterback has its roles on the field but a lot more stuff comes into play off the field and being a good influence for the other players around me.” His goals are ambitious yet attainable. “My goals are to be a highly executing and explosive team, especially on the offensive side of the ball. As well as being able to use our weapons and win in the playoffs.”

Grady’s father remains his biggest role model. “He’s done most of the things I look to do, so having that mentor and person that knows is a huge help. He’s guided me through football, life and gave me the work ethic and mindset I have now.”

Outside of football, Grady enjoys competitive activities like basketball and golf and values the relationships he’s built through football. “Creating the bonds with my teammates and coaches and making relationships I’ll be able to have the rest of my life” is something he cherishes. Grady Adamson plans to continue his football career in college at Georgia Tech, with a focus on achieving his career goals.
