OUTLOOK

It’s nice when a team comes together and has trust in one another. Head coach Kalynn Hager said the team chemistry at Jones is great and the expectations are growing. “It’s a special group of girls that embrace the family mentality. They pick each other up daily and promote success for our program,” said Hager. Several players could see time in the circle this season. Two seniors in Sydney Hass (P/UTL, Sr.) and Tatum Scott (P. Sr.) have the experience to throw for the Longhorns. Scott is a leader on and off the field for Jones and is looking forward to a great season. Emma Widner (P/UTL, So.) and Kylie Manwell (P/UTL, Fr.) are two underclassmen who could potentially grab of few innings this season. Kinley Taylor (3B/UTL,

So.) is another underclassman coach Hager expects to see on the field. Taylor has proven herself as a quality third baseman and someone the team can shift around in the field. Addison Murphy (UTL, So.) is that same type of player who can be utilized in multiple spots. Cadence Sullivan (OF, Sr.) is a speedy outfielder who can fly around the bases. Callie Chapman (C/UTL, Jr.) and Kaylee Long (C/3B, Fr.) shore up the catcher spot. Other players to watch include Emma Sanders (SS/3B, So.), Kayla Guthery (1B/OF, Jr.), Kitelyn Higgins (OF, Jr.), Macie Britten (OF/2B, Jr.), Maddi Simmons (2B/SS, Jr.), Zoe Loggins (UTL, Fr.), and Lauren Murphy (OF, So.).
