Del City High School’s Cheyan Creekmore started playing softball when she was 10 and immediately fell in love with the sport.

“Softball is my main focus from playing for the school in the fall and playing travel ball all year around,” said Creekmore.

This season Creekmore said the team is working hard to improve and get better with each game. She loves being around her teammates and said they are always supportive.

“Everyone is working hard and getting better as a team. What I love is how supporting and uplifting the coaches and players are and how well we get along and how supportive we are of each other,” said Creekmore.

Now a sophomore, Creekmore said she wants to one day play softball in college. She has the support of her teammates and her family.

“There are so many people I could say support me, but I think my biggest supporters are my mom and dad. They’ve always been there, taking be to games and trying to help me get better,” said Creekmore.

Away from softball, Creekmore said she enjoys hanging out with her friends. One day she hopes to attend college and become a real estate agent of open her own business.
