Noah Hoelzer: I’m a junior in high school, I’ve been playing tackle football since 5th grade.
VYPE: What is your favorite pregame and postgame meal?
NH: Pregame something very small, nothing that will sit in my stomach. Postgame is most definitely Canes, it’s been a post-game ritual for me and my friends and we’re planning on keeping that going.
VYPE: What do you do before a game to get mentally prepared?
NH: I like to blast music, and get in the zone and limit distractions. I usually listen to any kind of rock or country.
VYPE: What is your favorite memory from a game?
NH: Favorite memory is definitely way back in 7th grade when I scored the first touchdown of my career.
VYPE: What is one rule you wish they would get rid of in high school football?
NH: Unnecessary roughness, I made the decision to play football by watching NFL players like Ray Lewis and Brian Dawkins.
VYPE: What is the craziest thing you have seen on the football field?
NH: Last year we were playing Edmond Memorial and we were in overtime or maybe double overtime, I can’t remember, we had just scored a touchdown to tie the game and if we went for 2 we’d win the game, so we decided to go for 2 and I was on the field in our heavy set and I got to see a teammate of mine score the game winning 2 point conversion.
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
NH: After I graduate, I’m planning on serving a two year mission to serve my Lord and savior, then go to college and get a degree in business.

NH: Football, powerlifting and track.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?NH: My parents, they’ve shown me what hard work and dedication can do, especially when it comes to getting stuff done and not waiting around or putting a specific thing to the side.
