Classen SAS Golf – Four Seniors Poised for Big Years – Presented by Eskridge Honda

Classen SAS head coach Tanner Stiles returns four seniors with varsity experience this year. This group rolls into the season as the two-time ACAC Conference Tournament Champions and will go for number three this spring. Coach Stiles is excited to see what the season holds for this group of seniors.

“They missed the Class 4A State Tournament as a team by one shot last season,” Stiles said. “They return two state tournament qualifiers in seniors Luca Dunnington and Jaden Mai.”

Luca Dunnington is the No. 1 bag for the team over the last two seasons. Coach Stiles believes his leadership will help this team make a big push for a spot in the state tournament.

“He is the leader of the team, and a state qualifier from last season. He just recently signed to play collegiate golf for Southern Nazarene University,” said Stiles.

Jaden Mai is the rock everyone leans on at Classen. He qualified for the state tournament last season as an individual and is known for his work ethic.

“He is one of the hardest workers on the entire team and goes out of his way to help others.

He is the most selfless on the team and will do whatever is asked at any time,” said Stiles.

The next generation to take the reins comes in the form of freshman Henry Bowman. Bowman loves to practice and do what he can to help the team. Coach Stiles believes Bowman has a chance to be a “pivotal component of the team.”

The season will tee off on March 25th with the ACAC Golf Tournament at Cimarron National.
