VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball? 

Jayden Hopkins: My goal for this year is to win a state championship and average 30 points.

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?

JH: Basketball has taught me to be consistent in everything I do.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?

JH: I love to hoop in Kobe’s or GT Cut 1s. They handle all my shifty movements.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

JH: My brother, Quincy Hopkins. He’s someone who always pushes me and has my back no matter what.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?

JH: Honestly yourself. You control what you can do.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?

JH: It’s a lot that comes with being a great athlete, meaning confidence, work ethic and having the right mentality.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?

JH: I wish I could play football. I would be really good at it.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?

JH: Favorite pre-game song is probably Moongazing.
