Athlete Spotlight with Norman North’s Parker McGraw – Presented by Hey Day

If you’ve spent any time competing or following high school soccer in Oklahoma, chances are you heard of or seen Norman North’s Parker McGraw. The center-back from the Timberwolves started playing soccer when she was six years old. Over the years, McGraw has honed her talents into a player who has the opportunity to play at the next level.

“The biggest strength of my skill set is my work ethic. As a defender I work hard to not let anyone past me. This season I am really working to improve my mental game and communication on and off the field,” said McGraw.

McGraw said she finds inspiration in her mother.

“My mom is my biggest inspiration. She is my number one supporter and always has been. She has taught me the definition of hard work and is always there to encourage me and point me back to the Lord,” said McGraw.

The relationship she shares with her teammates is a special one.

“My teammates play a huge role in the player I am. I am super blessed to be able to work alongside and train against high level players,” said McGraw.

Balancing sports, academics and life is something McGraw has tamed, however as McGraw prepares for college, finding that balance will once again become a challenge.
“As a high school athlete, juggling soccer, club soccer, and school can be a challenge. My family and coaches are my biggest supporters, and it means the absolute world to me. I am so thankful for how much they have encouraged and pushed me over the years. I wouldn’t be the player and person I am without them,” Mosher said. “I hope to become a nurse anesthetist and mom after I end my academic and athletic career.”

Mosher will take her talents to the University of Tulsa next fall where she will play D1 soccer for the Golden Hurricane.
