OUTLOOK
Putnam City North girls basketball returns with the confidence and expectation of a program built for deep postseason runs. The Lady Panthers bring back key contributors from a powerful roster that showcased speed discipline and an ability to overwhelm opponents with pressure and tempo. Head coach Logan Martin continues to push a standard centered on accountability and competitive toughness and this group has embraced those values.
“We have a returning core from last year’s State Championship team, and we have added new talent with experience. We have a strong senior class this year along with an exciting and talented freshmen class,” coach Martin said.

The backcourt leads the way with dynamic playmakers who have grown into dependable leaders. Jayla Constant (5-10, Sr.) is a playmaker who has garnered the attention of several next level teams. Kiana Gray (5-4, Sr.) averaged 13 points per game hitting 43% of her shots from the three-point line. Tehlia Kutsoati (5-8, Sr.) is another guard with good length and a solid outside shot. Kutsoati averaged 5.0 points a game.
Other seniors to watch include Paige Williams (5-7), Makiya Moore (6-0), and Da’Nae Jefferson (5-9). The junior class includes Richiya Miller (5-9), Demy Howard (5-9), Laila Willoby (6-1), and Mya Anderson (5-10). Howard and Miller averaged 5.0 points a game last year.
Youth plays a major role in the long term picture for Putnam City North. Several underclass athletes have continued to develop quickly and now provide quality depth across multiple positions. That group includes Layla Shomo (5-7) and LaKya Moore (5-4). With experience balance and an aggressive style of play Putnam City North expects to remain one of the strongest programs in the region throughout the season.
