TUTTLE TIGERS
Coach: BRAD BALLARD
9-3
OFFENSE
Turnovers plagued the Tigers in a major way in 2023. A few injuries also didn’t help, but that couldn’t keep Tuttle from producing another squad right in the middle of the Class 4A title hunt. Brady McAdoo (6-1, 180, Sr.) has a major impact all over the field. McAdoo ran for 773 yards and added another 301 receiving with 10 combined touchdowns in spite of missing games to injury. McAdoo will play receiver this year with Shawn Rounsaville (6-0, 190, Jr.) at running back. Rounsaville ran for more than 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns after McAdoo went down with an injury. Cruz Campbell (6-1, 185, So.) should step in as the starting quarterback. Campbell started all ten games at Southmoore as a freshman, earning valuable experience in the toughest of ways. There are a variety of new faces that will factor in around McAdoo at receiver. Twins Jordan Lane (5-10, 180, So.) and Jalen Lane (5-11, 180, So.) moved in from rival Newcaslte along with Zarian Kindell (5-11, 175, Sr.) who comes over from Mustang. Jett McCoy (6-3, 205, Jr.) is an athletic target at tight end that will come in handy blocking on the edge. Tandon White (6-1, 235, Sr.) and Michael Turner (5-10, 250, Sr.) have multiple years of starting experience on the offensive line. That foundation and center Ryan Morales (5-11, 210, Sr.) should give Campbell the time he needs to operate the Tigers’ vertical passing attack. Tuttle was held without a touchdown in three of their 12 games a year ago. Expect the production to crank up from where it left off in 2023.
DEFENSE
The Tigers consistently field one of the best stop units in the class and this year should be no exception. Tuttle yielded no more than 20 points in any regular season game. Wagoner hit the Tigers for 30 points in the second round of the playoffs, aided by turnovers. Luke Fallwell (6-2, 205, Sr.) is the top returning tackler on defense. Fallwell made 97 stops, six tackles for loss and picked off two passes as a junior. Adrian Avelar (6-1, 215, Sr.) is a multiple year starter at the other inside linebacker position. Shawn Rounsaville will also provide help at the position. Outside linebacker Wyatt Probst (6-1, 185, Sr.) chipped in 46 stops during his junior year. McAdoo’s move to receiver will allow him to focus more on defense at safety. His athletic ability could be a difference maker this year at Tuttle. Jordan and Jalen Lane along with Kindell are prime candidates to start at cornerback. McCoy lends his size to a defensive front that will be rebuilt. Cameron McDoulett (6-4, 215, Sr.) has worked himself into football shape and is ready to help fill a void up front. The Tigers should be right in the middle of the Class 4A title race. The potential is there to raise the bar from back-to-back 9-3 seasons.
