North Rock Creek’s Jace Plumb – Baseball Spotlight

North Rock Creek’s Jace Plumb

By Rose Hutchins

Jace Plumb, a Senior at North Rock Creek High School, is a talented athlete competing in both baseball and basketball. On the diamond, Plumb makes his biggest impact as a pitcher, first baseman, and center fielder, using his wide range of skills and abilities to control the game to give his team the edge they need. Whether Plumb is on the mound or making plays across the field, his presence is felt in every inning.

Plumb recognizes his father as having had a great impact on his baseball journey. Plumb picked up a baseball at the young age of two and has loved sports ever since.

“My dad showed me the right way to treat people and the right way to play the game,” Plumb says with pride.

These lessons have shaped him into both the athlete and person he is today. Plumb used his dads advice when leading and competing with his teammates – knowing respect goes a long way.

One of Plumb’s favorite memories from playing with North Rock Creek is the talent on his team. He also enjoys how every player hypes up and encourages one another whether succeeding or not. He knows hard work and trusting the process is the key to success. Plumb is already racking up college offers, an accomplishment he knows will take him to the next level.

Plumb is highly motivated by his desire to be the best in the area. He takes pride in competing against any team. He has been playing baseball and basketball since he was just two years old, showing that the game has always been a major part of his life.

Beyond the diamond, Plumb is involved in the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He makes it a priority to finish his schoolwork in class so he can fully focus on his sport after school. To younger athletes, his advice is clear: “work hard and never give up.”

Plumb takes pride in representing North Rock Creek. He is thankful for the strong community support and the fans who have shown him nothing but respect. Beyond high school, Plumb’s goals are to succeed in college baseball and earn an opportunity to be drafted into Major League Baseball. A big dream for a devoted athlete.
