9 Questions with Moore’s Karlie Curtis – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Scott Smith-Shelter Insurance

Moore’s Karlie Curtis 

VYPE: Karlie, what grade are you in and what position do you play?

Karlie Curtis: I play pitcher and outfield, and I’m a senior.  

VYPE: What’s the toughest part about that position? 

KC: Pitching is more mental than physical which makes it tougher.

VYPE: What’s the strength of your game and what are you working on to improve? 

KC: My strength is my bat. I am currently working to improve my side-to-side speed and overall defense

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Moore?

KC: I love the chemistry and how quickly we all became friends.

VYPE: Who inspires you? Explain.

KC: My parents because no matter what they are always at my games and will do whatever possible to help me follow my dreams.

VYPE: What makes representing Moore special for you? 

KC: I have been around the Lady Lions program since I was four so getting to wear the Jersey makes it special to me. 

VYPE: What current or former teammate left an impression on you and in what way?

KC: A former player, Riley Rumbaugh because she helped me get out of my comfort zone and talking more than I did.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate? 

KC: I would like to get my DVM and become a veterinarian.

VYPE: Tell us your favorite memory competing for Moore.

KC: My favorite memory is playing games in the hotel rooms and on the bus rides.
