VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Newcastle HS?

Emerson Marble: I think what I love most about being a student-athlete at Newcastle is the environment and the people you meet.

VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?

EM: I’m a sophomore and I play a guard.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

EM: I love most how caring they are and how they have the ability to make me laugh all the time.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

EM: My favorite subject would have to be chemistry although it is challenging it teaches me new things every day.

VYPE: Which teammate always impresses you the most or do you have a former teammate who left an impression on you?

EM: I would say Kalani Kindred and Reagan Greenroyd always impress me; they are really talented on the court but off the court they are also great friends.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

EM: After I graduate, I would like to go to college and study to eventually be an orthopedic PA.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

EM: In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watch old 2000’s shows.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite place to play and what is the toughest gym to play in on the road?

EM: My favorite place to play would have to be our home gym.

VYPE: What part of your game is most improved coming into this season?

EM: I would say I have improved a lot on my rebounding and confidence of the game my shooting has also improved some.

VYPE: Bonus question, who is the greatest basketball player of all-time?

EM: Michael Jordan, but Russell Westbrook is my favorite.
