Coach: Scott Norris
23-24 Record: 24-4
OUTLOOK
Looking at the Edmond North roster coming into the season, you will notice a lot of seniors and a few underclassmen coach Scott Norris will look to this season to mature and step up to help this team win.
“Very excited about this team. We have a lot of guys that are very hungry to compete. We will be a team that gets better as the season goes on. Every experience for us will be a good learning opportunity,” said coach Norris.
VYPE Top 100 selectee Logan Knol (6-6, Sr.) starts at forward giving the Huskies a player who shoots 80 percent from the field. Knol brings senior leadership, his ability to grab rebounds and a high motor to the floor for coach Norris. Expectations are high for Knol this season. He will have some help in Zayden Best (6-1, Sr.) at guard. Best is quick and works tirelessly to give the Huskies a tough player on the defensive end.
Jerrell Copeland (6-5, Fr.) is a newcomer to the team and an exciting player entering his first year of varsity basketball. Considered one of the best ninth graders in the country, Copeland could make an immediate impact for the Huskies this season. Also look for Chauncey Cravens (5-9, So.) at guard and Jake Weaver (6-11, Sr.) in the post. Both players will be key for the Huskies this season.
Other players to watch include Brayden Cobb (5-10, Sr.), Reece Fisher (5-10, So.), Rett Morris (5-9, Jr.), Lucas Leeds (6-1, Jr.), Cooper Schuh (6-2, Sr.), AJ Moore (6-2, Sr.), Tyson Bobik (5-9, Fr.), Brody Smith (6-5, Sr.), and Mason Stewart (6-1, Fr.).
