Cashion’s Brynn Geisinger- Athlete Spotlight- Presented by Tier 1 Contracting

Cashion High School’s Brynn Geisinger is building a reputation as a versatile and driven athlete whose contributions extend beyond the softball diamond. Entering her sophomore year, Geisinger has already established herself as a key player on the varsity team, excelling in multiple roles while embodying the values of teamwork and resilience that define the program.

Geisinger is not only a standout on the softball field but also competes in powerlifting and supports fellow athletes by cheering at other school sporting events. Her participation in powerlifting earned her a spot as a state qualifier, joining teammates Makayla Hines and Khloe Kastner as part of a historic group for Cashion girls’ athletics. This multi-sport involvement reflects her commitment to fitness, discipline and school spirit.

On the softball field, Geisinger pitches and plays shortstop, two positions that demand both physical skill and mental toughness. She acknowledges that the hardest part of pitching is managing pressure and avoiding the feeling of letting teammates down. At shortstop, she identifies communication as the toughest challenge, highlighting her awareness of the importance of coordination in the infield.

At the plate, Geisinger keeps her approach simple and team oriented. “My process at the plate is just to relax and make solid contact to help out my team,” she said. This selfless mindset aligns with what she considers the best unwritten rule in softball: being a good teammate.

For Geisinger, the most rewarding aspect of being on the team is the sense of family and peer support. She appreciates how her teammates lift each other up and ensure no one feels down or left out. She credits teammate Lyla Baustert with keeping the mood light, describing her as the loudest voice who keeps everyone laughing. Another teammate, Katherine Nabavi, earns a playful distinction for consistently having the dirtiest uniform.

Geisinger also points to 2026 graduate Bella Ball as the teammate who left the biggest impression on her. “She pushed me a lot and was one of my favorites,” Geisinger said, noting Ball’s influence on her development as a player and person.

When asked who inspires her most, Geisinger named Citlaly Gutierrez, a pitcher she has played alongside and watched compete on television. “I really aspire to be like her one day,” she said, signaling her ambitions to reach higher levels of competition.

In the classroom, Geisinger favors Algebra and Geometry and cites Coach Tatum Robertson as her favorite teacher. Outside of school and sports, she enjoys spending time with friends, practicing softball and visiting her favorite local spot, BG10, a restaurant in her hometown.
