Crescent takes aim at a deeper playoff push in 2026 with a roster heavy on experience and leadership. The Tigers went 5-5 a year ago but return 15 seniors and a new coaching staff full of experience, giving second-year head coach Kale Hixon a veteran group to build around.
On offense, Crescent brings back nine starters and will operate with multiple personnel groupings but base out of 11 personnel. Senior quarterback and VYPE Top 100 nominee Tucker Stover (6-2, 190) is the centerpiece after throwing for 1,549 yards and 20 touchdowns while rushing for 327 yards and four scores as a junior. Coaches describe him as the backbone of the program, one of their hardest workers on and off the field, and a smart, tough leader who will have the ball in his hands about 90 percent of the time between the run and pass game. Senior running back Braylin Babb (5-10, 175) provides balance on the ground, while senior receiver Travis Wolfe (6-4, 190) and senior tight end Nate Carry (6-0, 205) give Stover big, athletic targets in the passing game. Sophomore receiver Jeremiah Rogers (5-8, 140) started eight games as a freshman and is a dynamic playmaker with explosive ability after the catch and crisp route running. Senior lineman Jaxon Nethon (5-11, 220) helps solidify an experienced front. The Tigers want to control the ball and time of possession, establish the run early and use play-action and quarterback runs to generate big plays downfield.
Defensively, Crescent returns 10 starters and will base out of a 4-3 multiple look. The philosophy is built on being fast, physical and disciplined, controlling the line of scrimmage and flying to the ball while eliminating explosives and forcing turnovers. Junior linebacker Luke Dalke (6-0, 170) is one of the defensive leaders inside, flanked by sophomore linebacker Houston Wilmoth (5-7, 150). Up front, senior defensive end Jaxon Heskett (6-2, 170) and junior linemen Russell Casey (6-1, 200) and Colton Jackson (6-0, 170) give Crescent a disruptive front. In the secondary, senior defensive back Braedon Horn (5-10, 150) anchors a group that will be asked to hold up against spread looks as the front applies pressure.
