2025 Harrah Panthers – Football Preview – Presented by Firelake Pizza

HARRAH PANTHERS

Coach: CHRIS BLIEK

5-5

OFFENSE

Despite having to replace a few players from last year’s team, head coach Chris Bliek and his are on solid footing heading into the 2025 season. “We are a younger team than last year, but most of the players have experience at the varsity level. We will not skip a beat when getting ready for the season as all the players know what to expect. We will be a fast and physical team on defense. Offensively we will be a balanced team with a young backfield that will surprise numerous teams. This team might be the best player lead team we have had in years,” said coach Bliek. Zach Crabb (5-9, 160, Jr.) gets things started for the offense from his wide receiver position. An explosive guy off the line, Crabb is elusive and brings a high football IQ to the field. Another force in the passing game is tight end Jacob Queen (6-5, 200, Jr.). A big target who plays a physical brand of football, Queen will be a factor on both sides of the ball. Up front look for Thomas Shamrock (6-2, 225, Jr.) to anchor the offensive line. Shamrock started 10 games at left tackle and has made significant gains in the weight room. Cal Whitnah (5-9, 160, So.) is a tough player and a dynamic runner. Whitnah will lead the Panther offense this season.

DEFENSE

Isaiah Osborne (6-2, 205, Sr.) and Brody Byers (5-8, 145, Sr.) will lead the defense from their respective positions. Osborne is a menace at linebacker or defensive end, while Byers shores up the secondary at strong safety. Byers and Osborne will also see time at WR. Crabb will join Byers in the secondary and Brock Day (5-11, 185, Jr.) brings his aggressive style of play to the linebacker group. Look for Day to play inside linebacker. Queen joins the LBs as well and is a force on the field. Shamrock will play DL and could become a dominant player inside. Also look for Gavyn Morgan (So.) at LB and on the offensive line and Easton Coronado at WR and DB. Both players transferred from McLoud and should help the team immediately. “We have many of our coaches returning that have solid relationships with our players and have really set a good foundation of expectations and standards for our team,” said coach Bliek.
