Makenna Ford: I’m in 9th grade and I started playing in 6th.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject at Del City HS?
MF: English.
VYPE: Tell me what your favorite memory was this season?
MF: Getting our first win as a team.
VYPE: What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at DCHS?
MF: Having a teammate involved in student council and showing us new freshmen what DCHS is all about.
VYPE: Which teammate has the most fun and who is the most serious on the softball team?
MF: Gia is really funny, and Haley was the most serious.
VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you the most?
MF: Ava, being able to catch majority of our games. Most being back-to-back.
VYPE: How do you prepare yourself mentally to compete?
MF: Getting pep-talks from my parents before games.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
MF: That we all got along really well on and off the field.
VYPE: I know you have three and a half years, but what would you like to do after you graduate?
MF: Going to college and playing softball or joining the Air Force.

MF: My little brother because he pushes me to be better by doing competition with me.
