Carl Albert High School’s Lillian Bryant is a member of the varsity tennis team and the FCA chapter at school. The standout student-athlete said her faith has allowed her to grow as a student-athlete and person.
“FCA is important to me because it allows me to grow in my faith while building strong relationships with other students at Carl Albert. Through FCA, I am able to fellowship with peers who share similar beliefs and encourage one another spiritually. It also helps me apply what I learn through my faith onto the tennis court, reminding me to compete with integrity and purpose. FCA has opened doors for gospel conversations with students in my building that I may not have otherwise had the opportunity to reach,” said Bryant. “Additionally, I am able to connect with my teammates through our shared faith on a bi-weekly basis, strengthening our relationships both on and off the field. Overall, FCA has helped shape me as both an athlete and a follower of Christ.”
As for her future plans after high school, Bryant will continue her education at the next level.
“I plan to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing,” Bryant said.
