Q&A with Christian Heritage Academy’s Brave Baker – Presented by Danielle Hill-Shelter Insurance

VYPE: How long have you played soccer?  

Brave Baker: I have been playing soccer for 13 years.

VYPE: What first got you interested in the sport? 

BB: My older siblings played, and I would always go to their practices, so I decided to try it out.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time competing for your high school?

BB: My favorite memory playing soccer is when we came back from trailing 1-3 to winning 4-3.

VYPE: What motivates you to be your best?  

BB: My dad definitely motivates me to work hard every day and he helps me get to my goals.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite opponent to compete against? If so, why? 

BB: Definitely Oklahoma Christian School (OCS) because they are a great matchup with our team, and they show great sportsmanship.

VYPE: What do your teammates mean to you? 

BB: My teammates are my brothers they keep me accountable when I’m down and I keep them accountable when they’re down.

VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?

BB: I don’t have a specific song, but I do listen to a lot of 90s rock before games.

VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why? 

BB: Definitely my coach – Coach Lawson shows great Christian character no matter what the situation is and he is a great role model.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school? BB: I’m going to Oklahoma State to become a physical therapist and I’m also joining the Army National Guard to be a combat medic.
