Senior outside hitter and defensive specialist Jadyn Roberts sees Christian Heritage Academy volleyball as much more than a sport. For her, the program has become a second home built on relationships and faith-driven encouragement. “I honestly don’t even think of us as a team because of how much it feels like family. These girls and coaches are some of my favorite people ever and I only have them because of CHA volleyball.”
Roberts plays OH/DS for the Crusaders and embraces every practice as a chance to deepen those bonds. “While most people see practice as a requirement, I see it as an opportunity I get to bond with the girls and coaches and that truly is what I enjoy most about CHA volleyball, the community.” That sense of community carries into the preseason, where she has watched her teammates commit fully to improvement and unity. “The preseason has been amazing. These girls have put in so much effort and time to better themselves for the sake of the team! This is the most coachable group of girls I’ve ever played with. No one is carrying around egos or pride, but instead setting themselves aside to learn and grow into the role that lies ahead of them! I am so proud to call them my teammates.”

Her foundation is strengthened at home. Roberts credits her parents as her greatest inspiration, pointing to their work ethic and unwavering support. “My biggest inspiration is my parents. They have worked so hard all their lives and never given up just because the going got tough. They have dedicated infinite time, money, resources, love, and a whole lot of patience to me that I will never be able to repay them for, and for that, I am truly grateful.” In the classroom, she also sets a high standard as a member of the National Honor Society. “I am also a member of National Honor Society.”
On the court, one teammate in particular has left a lasting mark on Roberts. “The teammate that has impacted me the most has to be Morgan Tutt. She was always present on and off the court with a smile on her face. She truly was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and the most Godly woman I know. Not having her with us this season means a missing smile, missing energy, and missing encouragement because no one shines the light of Christ like she does.”
Roberts carries that example into her own leadership, focusing on details and spiritual growth. “The little things matter! If we can’t do the little things on the court, what makes a coach trust us to step up and do the big things in the big moments! The same goes for our walk with the Lord. We must care for the little things God blessed us with so that we can care for the big things as well.”
