VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in baseball?
Jakobi Wormsley: A goal for me this year would be to make the best out of it because it’s my junior year, so I want to have a good batting average.
VYPE: What has baseball taught you that you use in your daily life?
JW: To stay disciplined and committed to anything I do.
VYPE: What’s your favorite glove/bat to use?
JW: My favorite glove would be an A 2000 and the bat of choice would be the Louisville ATLAS.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
JW: Someone who inspires me in the game of baseball would be Bryce Harper mainly because when I saw his high school highlights it let me know that it didn’t matter how young I was, I could make something out of myself with hard work
VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in baseball?
JW: The biggest challenge in baseball to me would probably be the mental part of it. Baseball is a really mental game and if you can’t get mentally strong then you’ll have a rough time.
VYPE: What do you think makes a great baseball player?
JW: Something that makes a good baseball player to me would be someone who really pays attention to their craft more than working on strength because I’m not the strongest guy so I try to focus on my craft a lot.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
JW: The best athlete in my family would definitely have to be me without a doubt. I have athletes in my family but I’m the hardest working.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
JW: If there was another sport, I could play it would definitely be motor-cross.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
JW: I Don’t really listen to music before games. I really talk to my teammates and get them ready for the game.
