Jase White & Christian Heritage Ready for the Seasons – Presented by Danielle Hill – Shelter Insurance

As the new season approaches, Christian Heritage senior Jase White is preparing for his final season of prep soccer. White started playing the game when he was only five years old. Now a senior, White is prepared to make this his best year to date. “I am most looking forward to getting one last chance to play with my friends. I’m also
looking forward to playing a few new teams in our district,” said White. Coming into the season, White said he’s continued to improve and is looking forward to seeing how his hard work in the offseason will pay off.

“I think the strength of my skill set is being able to read the field and create chances for the team. I have worked on my shooting and I’m excited to see how much I have improved in that area,” said White. From his teammates to the classroom, White said being part of the Christian Heritage family is special. “CHA is a great place for me because I have made friendships that will last a lifetime.

As a student, they teach our team knows who we play for and that’s not for ourselves, but we play for God and each other and I think that makes our team special,” White said. “A former teammate that left an impression on me is Robby Bapert, he led the team with discipline and encouragement. He influenced the entire team but specifically me because he drove me to practice for a year. Camden Boutin is probably the one who makes everyone laugh.

Usually, it’s not by saying anything funny but just by playing. Camden Bruce is the most serious. But it is often times necessary because we like to joke around.” To mentally prepare himself for competition, White said he like to listen to music before the match starts. “I usually prepare by listening to music. I get pretty nervous before games and music helps me calm down. I also like to talk to teammates because it takes my mind off the game,” said White.

White said he finds inspiration in his family and teammates. “My dad inspires me, because he is always there for me, and he gives me advice on what I can be doing better. My mom also inspires because she comes to every single game, no matter the weather to support me,” White said. “What I love about my teammates most is that we are all good friends, and we are able to joke around on the soccer field and have fun, even when it’s serious we still have fun.” White plans to attend college after high school. “My goal for life after high school is to hopefully continue to play soccer and get a college education. A few of my other goals are, I want to have a stable job and a family,” said White.
