Q&A with Jones’ Will Jeffries – Cross Country Spotlight – Presented by BancFirst of Jones

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports and activities are you involved in?

Will: I am a junior at Jones High School where I run cross country and track. I also play the guitar. 

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Will: Good things come from hard work. 

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Will: Running with my old teammates at my first state meet in cross country. 

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Will: Joseph Walker has taught me the ups and downs of running and has been a guide for me. 

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Will: My friend Ripken Wallace. He inspires me to keep on running and push myself and also helps me be humble. 

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Will: Mr Ledford. He is the most chill teacher and he likes old rock. 

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Will: To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Will: I would go to Tokyo, Japan and I would take my friend Gage.
