2024-2025 Norman North Timberwolves Basketball – Presented by David Ritter – Shelter Insurance

Coach: Kellen McCoy

23-24 Record: 13-13

OUTLOOK

It’s going to be an interesting year for the Timberwolves as head coach Kellen McCoy returns a good amount of players and a few younger athletes who are ready to step up at the varsity level.

“Norman North is a team with a good mix of seniors and younger guys that are going to be competitive defensively every night. We can score a lot of different ways with a lot of different guys. The guys are going to share the basketball and play together,” said coach McCoy.

Hezekiah Green (6-3, Sr.) averaged 11 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists last season. Green is a solid defender as well. With Green and Josiah Thomas (6-0, Sr.) in the backcourt, the Timberwolves have two players who can score and disrupt on the other end of the court. Thomas averaged 5.2 points a game last season.

Owen Eshelman (6-3, Sr.) will play forward again this season giving the team a player who can average 6.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Eshelman is joined at forward by Luke Bauman (6-5, Sr.) who averaged 5.0 points with 2.0 rebounds. Tracy Lesley Jr. (6-4, Jr.) and Rylan Phillips (6-4, Sr.) are two players expected to make big contributions this season.

Also look for Aidan Cooper-Kelly (6-0, So.) and Jamarrion Hardeman (6-0, So.) to find their way to the court this season. Both are exciting sophomores who have a bright future at Norman North.

Other players to watch include Trey Summers (6-1, So.) at guard, Beckett Crandall (6-0, So.) at guard, Ryan Humphrey (6-4, Sr.) at forward, Merrick Gregory (6-4, So.) at forward, and Santana Walker (6-1, Sr.) at guard.
