WASHINGTON LADY WARRIORS

Coach: Kale Simon

23-24 Record: 25-4

OUTLOOK

With experience, athleticism and toughness, the Lady Warriors are poised for another great year on the court. Head coach Kale Simon is looking forward to making this season a great one for his team.

“We return all five starters, a really good bench, and have added a player to the puzzle, plus some really good freshman. We have the potential to win our last game. Our goal is to create the HABITS and TOUGHNESS necessary to maximize this opportunity,” said coach Simon.

VYPE Top 100 selectee Breanna Lindert (5-9, Sr.) returns after adding numerous honors to her bio last season. Lindert was named to the All-Tournament 1st Team by several publications and was named Canadian Valley Conference Co-MVP. Kelby Beller (5-6, Jr.), another VYPE Top 100 selectee, added the same honors after her play last season. Beller is a dynamic point guard that creates shots for herself and other others. Her ability to shoot and dish makes her one of the best guards in the class.

Preslee Johnson (6-0, Jr.) is athletic enough to play shooting guard or small forward. Johnson will have a big impact this season on both ends of the floor. Shelbie Caveness (5-9, Sr.) will play guard giving the Lady Warriors another shooter and someone who can get stops on the defensive end. Her play is crucial for the team’s success.

Laney Parnacher (5-6, Jr.) brings the hustle and tenaciousness the Lady Warriors need on defense. Expect her play to stand out this season.

Other players to watch include Jayden Taylor (5-3, Sr.), Laney Gay (5-7, Jr.), Emersyn Massey (5-9, Jr.), Jayden Wells (5-9, Jr.), Raelee Adkins (5-8, So.), Aubri Clary (5-6, So.), Kyra Metcalf (5-7, So.), Ava Salcedo (5-8, So.), Aubrey Taylor (5-3, So.), Briley Beller (Fr.), Payton Janaway (5-9, Fr.), Harper Johnson (5-11, Fr.), Etemity Self (5-11, Fr.), and managers Lainey Dickerson (Sr.) and Dorothy Shepard (Jr.).
