9 Questions with Southmoore’s Mason Broussard – Presented by Eskridge Honda

VYPE: Mason, what position do you play for the SaberCats?

Mason Broussard: I play shooting guard.

VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?

MB: Michael Sears is definitely the most vocal on the team he is always putting smiles on our faces. He is one of our new guys on varsity and he has a big role on our team with bringing the energy.

VYPE: What is your favorite thing about this team?

MB: My favorite thing about my team this year is our unmatched chemistry on and off the court.

VYPE: What is the strength of your game and what have you worked to improve?

MB: My strength on the court is defense and spot up shooting. I need to improve my ball handling.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

MB: My teammates inspire me to keep going because they are going through the same hardships as I am.

VYPE: What are your expectations for the upcoming season?

MB: I believe that we will win state for 6A.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?

MB: My favorite subject in school is math.  My math teacher is Ms. Rainey and she is also my favorite teacher.

VYPE: What’s been your favorite moments as a student-athlete at SHS?

MB: My favorite moment as an athlete at Southmoore was my sophomore year when we beat Bixby and Sand Springs to play Owasso in the playoffs.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

MB: I enjoy hanging out with my team after practice.
