VYPE: What advice would you give to someone interested in the guard?
LC: Throughout all your fails, never give up and keep on trying.
VYPE: How long have you been involved in dance?
LC: I’ve been a competitive dancer for ten years; it helped me a lot. I was in Pom 8th grade year, which helped me a lot. I made the JV team, but they cut it, so I tried to do guard in my 8th grade year. So, I waited until my freshman year to join. It’s been great. I’ve struggled with some of the tosses, but I’ve had people help me a lot. I might become a captain, but I want upperclassmen to have a chance to be captain as well.
