Basketball
All three teams continued to push themselves as the regular season came to a close. The Moore Lions defeated Westmoore boys, 59-49 in their last matchup of the season. Westmoore finishes the regular season with a record of 16-9 while Moore is 19-7 after picking up two wins in regional play.
Head-to-head the Moore Lions picked up a revenge win over Southmoore. Earlier in the month of February, Southmoore defeated Moore, 61-60 in one of the hardest fought games of the season. But Moore would get revenge in regional play with a 69-45 win to advance. Southmoore finished with a record of 20-7.
The Westmoore girls defeated Moore in the final game of the regular season, 70-65. But Moore did grab a win over Southmoore, 65-36.
Wrestling
The wrestlers took to the mat for the state tournament and Moore Public School were well represented. Westmoore sent several wrestlers to the podium.

Westmoore’s Hayze Ivey placed 3rd at 150-pounds.
Westmoore’s Trae Rios was state runner-up at 165-pounds.
Westmoore’s Cole Olguin placed 3rd at 190-pounds.
Westmoore’s Devon Lacroix placed 3rd at 215-pounds.
The only state champions from Moore Public Schools were in the girls 6A bracket. Once again Westmoore had a great showing on the mat.
