Q&A with Moore’s Logan Thomas – Presented by Silver Leaf Animal Hospital

Entering high school can be intimidating for some, but for Moore High School’s Logan Thomas, playing soccer at the varsity level has helped him make friends and quickly become part of the team.

“I enjoy the camaraderie and competitiveness every time we step on the field,” said Thomas.

Currently playing center back and center mid for Moore, Thomas said he’s played the game of soccer for 11 years and during that time he has developed great field awareness.

“My strength is soccer IQ and awareness. What I have worked on the most is physicality and conditioning,” said Thomas.

The work never ends for this freshman. Whether he is keeping up with his classroom work or living up to a standard set by his older brother, Thomas said he works hard in all areas because his brother and teammates inspire him.

“My older brother inspires me, who I continually work to beat the standard he set in sports and life. That is why I wear his number. The upperclassmen on my team inspire me because I don’t want to let them down this season,” said Thomas.

When time allows you can find Thomas spending time with friends, playing video games or fishing. He hopes to one day play collegiate soccer while pursuing a degree in engineering. The freshman said after every game his go-to meal is Cane’s.
