Q&A with Norman North’s Presley Boyd – Presented by Genesis of Norman

VYPE: Presley, what grade are you in and what position do you play for the soccer team? 

Presley Boyd: I am a senior this year and play forward!

VYPE: What are your strengths on the pitch and what have you improved on the most? 

PB: The strength of my skill set is my speed and technical work with the ball. I improved on seeing more of the field and being able to play different through balls when I got the chance to play some minutes as a center mid. 

VYPE: What’s your biggest challenge as a high school athlete? 

PB: My biggest challenge as a high school athlete is the amount of games and practices along with club soccer practices every week. It can be a lot sometimes, but I enjoy every second of it! 

VYPE: What does the support of your parents and coaches mean to you? 

PB: The support from my parents and coaches means the world to me. Without this support I would not be anywhere near where I am today, and I am so grateful for it. 

VYPE: What do you love about your teammates? 

PB: I love all my teammates so much, especially because of the fun we have on the field! They make every practice and games so much fun and a positive environment. 

VYPE: Who inspires you? 

PB: My parents inspire me on and off the field every day. Without them, I would not have the drive and desire that I do for the sport. 

VYPE: What accomplishment are you most proud of as an athlete? 

PB: The accomplishment I am most proud of is signing to play Division 1 soccer in college.

VYPE: What’s your plan for life after high school? What will you study in college? 

PB: My goal for after high school is to succeed in my soccer career at the University of Tulsa and continue my education in physical therapy. I hope to have a family and be an amazing mom. 

VYPE: What makes NNHS a great place to be a student-athlete? 

PB: There is a standard for playing at a high level all the time. There has also been a tremendous amount of success throughout girls soccer program over the years which makes it a competitive environment to play for, which I love.
