Q&A with Moore’s Landis Green – Presented by Rib Crib
Landis Green is a multi-sport student-athlete at Moore High School. We caught up with Landis to talk about football, his role on the team and what he enjoys doing away from the field.
VYPE: When did you start playing football and what position are you playing for the Lions?
Landis Green: I started playing football ever since the 2nd grade and I currently play wide receiver for Moore.
VYPE: What do you love most about this team and your teammates?
LG: I love our chemistry and how we handle adversity when things aren’t going our way. We all come together, and the leaders step up to help the team get back on track.
VYPE: Are you involved in any clubs or groups at school?
LG: I’m involved with leadership for Moore, and I also do track and field.
VYPE: What grade are you in this year?
LG: I am in the 11th grade.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
LG: The person who inspired me the most as an athlete is Tank Dell. Watching how he went from juco and getting all the way to the NFL just off of hardworking and trusting the process.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school? And do you have a favorite teacher?
LG: My favorite subject is English, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Tobey from my 7th grade year.
VYPE: Who did you get your athleticism from, mom or dad?
LG: I get it from both my parents due to both of them being track athletes growing up and my dad playing football, baseball too helped me gain some of those athletic traits.
VYPE: What are you looking forward to the most this season?
LG: I’m looking forward how Moore football looks due to us being a younger squad seeing how those young guys hold up in 6A football.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
LG: I would like to have a chance to continue my athletic career in football wherever that may be.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing when you have some free time?
LG: I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family. Sometimes I will play video games.
