Q&A with Moore’s Ryan Walker
VYPE: Ryan, what do you love most about your team and teammates at Southmoore?
Ryan Walker: I love the culture and determination that our team has.
VYPE: When did you first start running?
RW: I first started running in 5th grade at the Moore Elementary Track meet.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
RW: Joshua Rammage inspires me every day during workouts and races because he always pushed me when we were teammates, and I would love to beat the school records that he set.
VYPE: What are your expectations for the season?
RW: My expectations for this season are to break the school record (15:42) and get top 25 at the state meet.
VYPE: Favorite subject in school and favorite teacher from any grade?
RW: My favorite subject is Aviation because I want to be a pilot when I grow up, and my favorite teacher is my 7th grade English teacher, Mr. Seeley.
VYPE: What other clubs or groups do you belong to at school?
RW: I am on the Student Leadership Athletic Committee (SLAC).
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
RW: I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as playing video games.
VYPE: What grade are you in this year and what would you like to do after you graduate?
RW: I am a sophomore. I would like to potentially run at the University of Oklahoma and pursue a career in aviation.
