Julius Singer, also known as Tez, is a senior at Moore High School. He loves basketball and being a Moore Lion.
VYPE: What has basketball taught you that can be used in daily life?
Julius Singer: I have learned to be a good leader with my teammates, and I use those leadership skills in all aspects of my life.
VYPE: What position do you play and what do you enjoy most about it?
JS: I am a shooting guard. I like that position because I get to shoot the ball.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
JS: Getting to represent Moore High School with the Lion on my chest is a great feeling, especially when we win!
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
JS: Just making the varsity team and getting in the first time and making my first points.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
JS: My English teacher Mrs. Steele. She always made time to talk to me about basketball and always helped me stay on top of my schoolwork so I wouldn’t fail.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
JS: My dad. He is a great guy, and he inspires me to be a better person. I was four when my dad put the basketball in my hands, and I just kept with it.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
JS: My teammate Ebi treats everyone with respect and kindness. He inspires me to do the same.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
JS: Always be yourself and lead by example.
