Q&A with Norman’s Jaxon Ford – Presented by Landers Auto Group

VYPE: Jaxon, what grade did you start playing football?

Jaxon Ford: I started playing flag football when I was five years old but it was until I was in 7th grade that I knew I loved the game of football.
 

VYPE: That’s a lot of football. Got a favorite moment on the field?

JF: My favorite memory as a player was beating Broken Arrow around last year in the first round of playoffs and celebrating with my guys after the win.

VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone cracking up in the locker room?
 JF: The teammate that keeps everyone’s spirit up and is just funny is hands down Anthony Johnson, the things he says and does just keeps me laughing. The most serious teammate on the team I would say is probably myself.
 

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school or a favorite teacher?

JF: My favorite subject in school is world history and my favorite teacher Mrs. Sloan.
 

VYPE: Which game is circled on the calendar?

JF: The game for this year that I have circled on my calendar is Moore. With the way they won last year with a last second drive has had me eager to play them. 

VYPE: What makes NHS a great place for you?

JF: To me Norman is such a great town for a student-athlete because it’s big enough to he social and have a good time but it’s also small enough to get away from the noise.
 
 VYPE: How do you like to spend your down time?
 JF: I enjoy spending my down time by spending time with my family and friends. Quality time with my loved ones is something I love to do. 
 

VYPE: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
 JF: The best advice I’ve ever received was from was from my football coach he. He told me “The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.”
 VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
JF: My goal after high school is to reach my potential in athletics and academics.
