VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Southmoore HS?
Gavin Scheibmeir: The students at Southmoore are always the best.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject and who is your favorite teacher?
GS: This last year was English and coach Kit.
VYPE: What grade are you in and how long have you been in golf?
GS: I’m a 11th grader next year and I’ve been playing for five years.
VYPE: What area of your game have you worked on the most to improve?
GS: My irons.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
GS: It’s always a family and not a team.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite course to play? Why?
GS: John Conrad, there’s nothing like it in Oklahoma with the greens.
VYPE: What is your favorite club in your bag? Why?
GS: My driver, I’ve always been able to naturally hit it longer and the best.
VYPE: What is the lowest round you’ve ever shot, in competition or for fun?
GS: Lowest is 69, would love for it to be lower but I’ve always been the consistent type, so low is not going to be far off my high.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
GS: Golfing, fishing, or hunting.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
GS: Go into the golf field.
