Washington’s Liam Keltner
VYPE: Liam, what position are you playing and what makes that spot tough to master?
Liam Keltner: I play shortstop and the toughest thing about my position is having to know everything that is going on and being able to communicate to everyone throughout the whole field.
VYPE: Tell us your favorite moment from any season?
LK: My favorite moment was from last season, after being the underdogs throughout the whole state tournament, when we won state.
VYPE: What’s the strength of your game?
LK: The strength of my game is my brain, or my defense and I am working on to be more consistent whenever I am hitting.
VYPE: What do you love most about this team and your teammates?
LK: I love most that all of us are like brothers, and we all have a great time and we get along.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
LK: My parents inspire me to be better every day. They are the hardest working people I know, and they have sacrificed a ton of things to be there for me throughout my life.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
LK: My favorite subject in school is history and my favorite teacher was Mr. Hancock. He was my science teacher freshman year.
VYPE: What other activities are you involved in and what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
LK: I am in student council and FCA. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and hanging out with friends.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
LK: The teammate that is the most vocal and yells a lot is Owen Andrews and the teammate that keeps everyone laughing is Johnathan Montoya
VYPE: What has athletics taught you that you can use in life?
LK: Athletics has taught me to not cheat anything and if you are going to do something make sure you do it 100 percent.
