Southmoore’s Brayden Smith
VYPE: Brayden, what are you looking forward to the most this season?
Brayden Smith: I am looking forward to seeing how we do as a team because everyone has been working hard in the off season and I am excited to see how we stack up against all of the other teams.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Southmoore?
BS: How good our team chemistry no matter in what it is. We are always encouraging each other either that be during the bad times or during the good ones.
VYPE: Who inspires you? Explain.
BS: My mom because she someone who I have went to for everything no matter the circumstances and she always knows the right things to say so that I can succeed. She is also my biggest fan showing up and always being the first one to support me on my achievements and that truly pushes me to want to do better.
VYPE: Favorite subject in school and favorite teacher from any grade?
BS: My favorite subject in school is science and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Sweetman who was my Biomedical Sciences teacher for 11-12 grade.
VYPE: Favorite moment in your career as a player?
BS: My favorite moment is last year against Deer Creek because we all stormed the court after my teammate got a put back at the buzzer to win the game by one.
VYPE: What other clubs or groups do you belong to at school?
BS: I am apart of HOSA-Future Health Professionals which is a student lead health organization.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
BS: I enjoy hanging out with my friends and also bowling.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and which teammate keeps everyone laughing? BS: The teammate who is probably the most vocal is Tyson Pogi and we have a lot of people who keep everyone laughing but I would have to probably say Aidan or Michael.
VYPE: As a senior, what would you like to do after you graduate?
BS: I would like to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist and hopefully start my own clinic after that.
