Q&A with Southmoore’s Kasen Rinehart – Presented by Gregory’s Sporting Goods

VYPE: What goals did you have for this baseball season? 

Kasen Rinehart: Finish out the year strong and do damage in a regional.

VYPE: What has baseball taught you that you use in your daily life? 

KR: If you want to be good at something you have to work every day to get better.

VYPE: What’s your favorite part of being involved in baseball?

KR: Being with the guys and having fun playing this game. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

KR: My father because he’s a good man with a great work ethic and always takes care of me and my family and he is so selfless.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in baseball?

KR: It is a game of failure and making it to not only college but to the MLB is the biggest challenge every player will face. 

VYPE: What do you think makes a great baseball player?

KR: A player who is a team player and does whatever his team needs.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.

KR: I would say me because that’s what my parents and siblings tell me. 

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?

KR: Hockey. It is so fun to watch I couldn’t imagine playing it.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?

KR: “Wockesha” by Moneybagg Yo.
