VYPE Magazine Announces the Shelter Insurance Mr. & Miss Basketball Oklahoma Award Winners: Beau Billingsley from Norman and Kyiah Prestridge from Westmoore

Tulsa, OK (April 2nd, 2026) – VYPE Magazine and Shelter Insurance are proud to announce the 2025-26 Mr. and Miss Basketball Oklahoma Award winners are Beau Billingsley from Norman High School and Kyiah Prestridge from Westmoore High School.

The Shelter Insurance Mr. and Miss Basketball award recognizes the outstanding efforts Billingsley, and Prestridge gave this season. Billingsley and Prestridge join a distinguished list of players named to the top honor in the state of Oklahoma.

During the 2025-26 season, Billingsley pushed his Norman Tigers team to a Class 6A state championship and a 6A Tournament MVP award. As a team the Tigers finished the season with a 27-4 record and their first boys state title since 1999 and the win marked their ninth title in team history. Billingsley finished his career with over 1,200 points and was nominated for the Gatorade Player of the Year award.

The five finalists for the 2025-26 Shelter Insurance Mr. Basketball Oklahoma award were Jalen Montonati – Owasso, Isaiah Wilks – Millwood, Denton Forsythe – Dale, Boden Williams – Owasso, and Miles Flemons – Union.

The senior guard/forward led the Lady Jags to a 22-5 record this season and a berth in the Class 6A state tournament. During the 2025-26 season, Prestridge averaged 21.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.9 assists per game.

Prestridge was named the 2025-26 Gatorade Oklahoma Girls Basketball Player of the Year and is committed to take her talents to the University of Arkansas.

The five finalists for the 2025-26 Shelter Insurance Miss Basketball Oklahoma award were Maddi Stewart – Lincoln Christian, Mya Alston – Mustang, Jayla Constant – Putnam City North, E’Niyah Holmes – Muskogee, and Kate Wernli – Bixby.

“Every year this list becomes stacked with great players and this season was no different. A finalist last season, Kyiah did everything she needed to do this season to become the Shelter Insurance Miss Basketball Oklahoma award winner,” said VYPE Magazine’s Brad Heath.
