The throwing sports in track and field require strength, explosiveness, and balance. For Westmoore High School, senior Alex Le embodies all those qualities and is enjoying his final season as a student-athlete. Being a Jaguar is something Le is proud to say.
“What makes Westmoore a great place for me as a student-athlete would definitely be the coaching. Never in my life have a I met better mentors for you that can help you on your sport and in your life outside of sports,” said Le.
The bond he shares with his teammates is special and Le believes the program is in good hands.
“What I love most about my teammates is how encouraging and energetic each and every one of them are whenever you perform your best,” Le said. “A teammate that has impressed me the most this season would have to be Cam Hall. Out of nowhere he throws a 15-feet personal record, and I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Aside from track, Le said he has been a member of the SQUAD leadership which allows him and other upperclassmen to mentor freshmen in their first year of high school. He also enjoys playing golf and fishing when he has some down time. But once high school comes to an end, Le has a plan for his future.
“My main goal after high school is get into an aviation maintenance technology program and hopefully land a job at Tinker Air Force Base or Boeing right out of school,” said Le.
Le said his inspiration comes from his faith. “My biggest inspiration on or off the track would have to be my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. By his grace, I am saved, and I ultimately strive to live for him every day.”
