Crossings Christian School enters the 2026 season coming off a 5-5 campaign under head coach Travis Wike, who is in his fifth year leading the program. Wike notes that last year they “were a young football team, but that season built toughness and experience,” and now they return “a battle-tested group with a lot of starters back and a senior-heavy roster led by 11 seniors who are ready to compete.” With competition “at every position” and a roster full of multi-position athletes, the Knights believe daily practice battles will “raise the standard every single day.”
Offensively, Crossings brings back nine starters and a versatile skill group that can be deployed in multiple ways. Senior tight end/safety Wyatt Dalton, the team’s Top 100 nominee, headlines the offense with a blend of size and athleticism that “creates matchup problems on both sides of the football” and has already drawn college interest. Senior running back/linebacker James Graham and senior receiver/free safety Brooks Ryan provide additional veteran production, while juniors Kaden Fileds and Eli Dalton, along with sophomore receiver/corner Hudson Holloman, round out a deep receiving corps. Wike says on offense, “We plan to use the players we have and find ways to use their strengths,” a philosophy that fits this balanced, flexible group.
Defensively, the Knights return four starters and will adapt their structure to fit personnel. Dalton serves as an anchor with the athleticism and football IQ to be “equally effective in the box and in run support” while providing reliability in coverage. Seniors Brayson Degraffenreid, Grayson Danner and Luke Belisle join junior Paxton Dunn and lineman Sam Big to form a front that emphasizes putting players “in a position where they can perform best for the team.” Dalton currently holds an offer from Friends University and plans to attend multiple Division I camps, with Wike believing his “potential is only beginning to surface” after emerging as one of the team’s top offensive threats. Holloman is the underclassman to watch after earning a starting role late last season; Wike says his “versatility, athleticism, and understanding of the game” and his work ethic give him a chance to have “a breakout season” as a two-way contributor. With a senior-heavy roster, internal competition and a versatile scheme, Crossings Christian expects to take a step forward in 2026.
