COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN ROYALS

Coach: MAT MCINTOSH

3-7

OFFENSE

Community Christian returns to the field with renewed optimism and a solid foundation. “We are excited about the upcoming season,” head coach Mat McIntosh said. The Royals are bolstered by the return of five starting offensive linemen, which is crucial for their offensive strategy. “We return five starting offensive linemen and several key skill position players,” McIntosh added. The offensive unit will be guided by a strong line, including standout linemen AJ Shadid (6-3, 275, Sr.), Justin Montgomery (6-1, 240, Sr.), and James Peterson (6-4, 280, Jr.). Running back Grayson McGuire (6-0, 195, Sr.), who also excels at linebacker, will be a key offensive weapon. The Royals will operate a spread offense, utilizing 3-4 wide formations and an up-tempo pace.

DEFENSE

The Royals’ defense aims to be a formidable force with six returning defensive box players (DL & LB). “We return six defensive box players and expect to rebound from last year’s season,” McIntosh said. The defense will be led by Grayson McGuire (6-0, 195, Sr.), who has been the team’s leading tackler for the past two seasons, and Dax Crawford (5-11, 185, Sr.) at defensive end. The Royals will employ a 4-2-5 base defense, focusing on an attacking style to disrupt the opposition’s offense. Key defensive contributors include Layton Teichroeb (5-9, 180, Sr.) at linebacker and Kendall Davis (6-1, 165, Sr.) in the secondary. Tyndale McIntosh (5-8, 180, Sr.) will aid at the safety position, while Parker Rushing (5-10, 160) will shut down pass plays and rush the offensive line at cornerback. The coaching staff includes Matt Cox (DC), Cole Prestidge (OC), Walter Boyd (OL), Joel Cortez (DL), Brandon Hodge (LB/RB), David Lee (DB), and Chris Potter (WR).
