OUTLOOK
With several players returning to the lineup, head coach Logan Martin is focused on making the most of every coaching opportunity to help this team reach their collective goals.
“We have 7 key returning players from last year’s team that went to State. We have added a couple transfers that will be strong additions to our program – Brandie Harrod (Sr.) and Kiana Gray (Jr.),” said coach Martin.
Brandie Harrod (6-1, Sr.) is a guard/forward hybrid who can score inside or outside the paint. Harrod is a matchup problem for opponents for many reasons. Her ability to get to the rim is huge and she has a great mid-range jumper. Harrod is committed to Auburn University.
Nykaiya Dillard (5-8, Sr.) is an exceptional athlete and can play guard or forward. A solid rebounder, Dillard plays hard on both ends of the floor. Dillard was the leading scorer and rebounder last season. Kiana Gray (5-6, Jr.) is a guard who shoot the ball beyond the arc with exceptional accuracy. Gray can score at all three levels.
Raya Shawareb (5-8, Sr.) is another great rebounder for the Lady Panthers. She can create chaos on the defensive end and is a crafty finisher around the rim. Also look for Haniya Geretta (5-10, Sr.) at guard and Madaline McDonald (5-6, Sr.) at guard.
Other players to watch include Richiya Miller (5-8, So.), ONaiya Scales (5-6, Sr.), Kate Ferguson (5-11, Fr.), Demy Howard (5-9, So.), Tehlia Kutsoati (5-8, Jr.), Daisha Wallace 5-8, Fr.), Izzy Stevens (5-5, So.), Mary Olajide (5-11, Fr.), and Jackie Tonkumoh (5-11, Sr.).
