Tuttle’s Easton Green – Baseball Spotlight – Presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Norman

As the Tigers prepare to take on another tough schedule on the diamond, players like Easton Green are working out and preparing for the season with countless hours in the cages. Tuttle head coach Breck Draper said Green is one of the leaders of the program and a great player.

“He will be depended on to get us going offensively and also to help lead our outfielders and pitching staff. He is a really good centerfielder and left-handed pitcher who has the ability to takeover a game,” said coach Draper.

Green said he’s looking forward to getting back on the field.

“What I am looking forward most is finishing what we started last year. The year didn’t end the way we liked last year and this year we can surprise people and win the whole thing,” said Green.

During the offseason, Green has continued to work on his game in preparation for the upcoming season.

“I mentally prepare myself by doing all the work in the offseason so when the time comes, I’m ready,” Green said. “The strength of my game is probably my defense. I really improved this year as a pitcher.”

But when you speak with Green about the upcoming season, Green turns the focus onto his teammates and what they mean to the overall success of the program.

“I think the best kept Tuttle secret is that no matter how many people we graduate we always have other guys that can go out there and produce. A former teammate that really helped me was Ty Chaddrick. He was a senior when I was a freshman, and he really took me under his wing and helped me be the player I am today,” said Green.

Leaving a lasting legacy at THS is what every senior wants before they hit their last RBI.

“A legacy I want to leave at THS is someone that competed day in and day out that everyone could rely on,” said Green.
