Coach: Robby Williams
23-24 Record: 6-19
OUTLOOK
After spending a season rebuilding the program, head coach Robby Williams is looking forward to having another season with his players as the turnaround continues. Just two seasons ago the Firehawks went 2-23 before going 6-19 last season. Coach Williams expects to see another jump in a positive direction this season.
VYPE Top 100 selectee Tristan Deloney (6-1, Jr.) is an explosive left-handed attacker who can get to the rim. Deloney is a leader on the court and in the classroom. Deloney will start at guard with Jesse Bobo (6-5, Sr.) playing a guard/forward combo spot. Bobo is a wing man who can get to the hoop and has a solid mid-game. These two together are a nightmare to stop.
Matt Bryant (6-1, Jr.) can play small or power forward depending on personnel. Known for his rebounding, Bryant has a high-motor and is a team motivator. A pair of guards help solidify the backcourt for the Firehawks. Ephraim Anderson (Jr.) and Daniel Hudson (Sr.) are two skilled guards coach Williams will look to for quality minutes. Anderson is a point guard with an excellent outside shot and excellent speed and quickness on both ends of the floor. Hudson is like a DII or Juco type player on the court now for Harding. Hudson can score in many ways and forces an opponent’s defense to adjust.
Myrion Cowdrey (Fr.) is the newcomer many people are taking about. Cowdrey has shown to possess an excellent skill set for a freshman and will likely see a lot of time at the JV level. Kordaryon Lee (So.) started as a freshman and has continued to grow and improve his game. Last season Lee was team MVP last year and led the team in rebounds as a freshman. Also look for Jalil Morris and Cornell Cannon to play important roles this season.
