Earlsboro’s Bailey Nadeau – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Gordon Cooper Technology Center

Once a student enters their high school years, they know that it is time to start thinking about what they want to do with their life once they graduate. Whether it is furthering their education, going straight into the workforce, or something else, they have many opportunities available to them. Bailey Nadeau is getting a head start on her future by attending Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

“I am in the Early Childcare & Education Program at Gordon Cooper,” she said. “Once I graduate from high school, I want to join the army and then become a Special Education teacher for elementary students.”

Bailey, a junior at Earlsboro High School, says she first heard about Gordon Cooper from her sister and is glad she decided to attend.
“My older sister was in GC,” she stated. “Hearing about her experiences made me want to join. It is showing me that they’ll teach you as an adult individual, and is helping you get ready for the workforce.”

For someone who is on the fence about whether or not to attend a school like Gordon Cooper Tech, Nadeau has some advice.

“Do it,” she stated. “And if you don’t know what you want to be in the future, just take business classes.”

A big-time competitor, Nadeau is on the cheer, basketball, and cross country teams at Earlsboro.

“I like competing because it is thrilling and fun,” Bailey said. “The highlight of my career would have to be getting to cheer with my older sister for a year because she has been my biggest role model. She’s smart, has really good advice for me, and knows me better than anyone.”

Outside of her sports, Bailey is also a member of the National Honor Society, Leadership, and she serves as a class officer.
