
Shawnee’s Aidon Siqueiros
VYPE Top 100 selectee Aidon Siqueiros is a two-year starter at Shawnee High School and a player who can score at all three levels. We caught up with the senior to find out more about the guy coach Johnson calls his, “Swiss-Army knife.”
VYPE: What grade are you in this year?
Aidon Siqueiros: I’m a senior.
VYPE: What sport(s) do you play?
AS: I play basketball.
VYPE: How did your athletic career begin?
AS: I began playing basketball in the first grade.
VYPE: What’s the greatest challenge you’ve faced so far in your athletic career?
AS: Tearing my labrum and having to sit out my freshman season.
VYPE: How did you overcome that challenge, who was in your corner, and what did you learn from it?
AS: I overcame that challenge by working hard and rehabbing to get my shoulder and body back to normal. I had my family and coaches in my corner.
VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
AS: To have a successful season and win state.
VYPE: Where do you hope sports take you in life?
AS: To the next level.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
AS: I want to go to college.
