Q&A With Shawnee’s Garrett McCurdy – Football Spotlight – Presented by Amy Price, Shelter Insurance

Shawnee’s Garrett McCurdy

VYPE: Garrett, what grade are you in this season?

Garrett McCurdy: I’m in the tenth grade.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school?

GM: My favorite subject in school is English.

VYPE: Who is someone that inspires you?

GM: The person that inspires me the most my mom. She does everything can to provide working day to night, also pulling double shifts. Driving three hours just to come see me play.

VYPE: What do you love most about this team?

GM: The thing I admire most about my team is how well we handle adversity.

VYPE: What has football taught you about life?

GM: Not everything is going to go according to plan. When we face it, we accept it and move on.

VYPE: Has there been a former teammate who left an impression on you?

GM: Dace Shaw left a huge impression on me. He went senior year with no offers and worked his butt off and is currently at NEO.

VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?

GM: I’m currently enrolled at Seminole State taking classes while in high school.

VYPE: Thanks Garrett, good luck this season.

GM: Thank you.
