OUTLOOK

Shawnee boys basketball takes the floor with a young but determined group that has embraced a culture of growth and competitive drive. Head coach Chad Johnson leads a roster that has gained confidence through daily improvement and the strength of a unified locker room.

“The Wolves are looking to build off of last season. They are a young, hungry group, with several returners that will take a big step this year,” coach Johnson said.

Aidon Siqueros (6-4), a VYPE Top 100 selectee, steps forward as one of the team most versatile athletes. Standing 6-foot-4 and possessing the ability to play inside or out he gives Shawnee a blend of size scoring and defensive presence that opponents must prepare for. Ian Samilton (So.) offers length and a natural feel for the game giving the Wolves a skilled wing who can stretch the floor and operate in space.

Angel Tehauno provides perimeter shooting that keeps defenses honest and gives Shawnee an important spark in half court sets. His work ethic and positive approach reinforce the team identity and help elevate younger players.

Shawnee will rely on defensive energy improved execution and the continued development of its young core. As the roster gains experience and grows into its roles the Wolves have a chance to emerge as one of the surprise teams in their district.
