Tecumseh cheer saw a season of growth and unity with athletes stepping up in every area, propelling the program to higher levels of discipline and performance. According to coach Jacee Miller, they made major strides in skills and techniques and also in their ability to embrace the demands of a competitive season.

“The athletes stepped up in every area, making it one of our strongest seasons,” Miller reflected.

The team showed remarkable progress in learning choreography and in their motivation to excel. Although the team did not advance to Game Day State, they improved their scores from last year and rose nine spots in the rankings, a clear indicator of progress.

Those achievements were accompanied by several notable moments, and athletes reached major team goals related to technique, stunt execution, and overall sharpness. They strengthened their sideline presence and represented their school proudly.

“We had one All-American Cheerleader at camp this year and received a blue ribbon for our camp routine,” Miller noted, highlighting accomplishments that set the tone early.

Leadership also played a significant role in the team’s success. The team’s ten seniors stepped naturally into leadership positions, modeling accountability and positivity for their younger teammates. Others made significant jumps in stunting technique and overall performance, contributing to the team’s rising standard.

The season also brought injuries, confidence dips, and schedule changes that required quick adjustments and strong communication. But each obstacle ultimately bolstered the team’s cohesion.

“Athletes leaned on each other, and we learned to reset quickly and adjust when needed,” Miller explained.

Preparing for what’s next, the program is carrying important takeaways into spring training. Consistency, mental toughness, and trust proved to be foundational this season, and those lessons will guide the team’s next phase. The focus will shift toward refining technique, rebuilding strength, improving stunt versatility, and increasing tumbling confidence. Motions, sharpness, and performance energy will also be priorities.

As Tecumseh cheer moves forward, coach Miller’s message to the team is centered on belief, commitment, and daily improvement.

“Believe in the work you’re putting in, trust your teammates, and stay committed to the small improvements each day,” Miller encouraged. “You’re capable of more than you think; show up ready to grow, and the results will follow.”
